Early Intervention (EI) services provide parents and families of children ages 0-3 years old with resources and services to identify and treat developmental delays. While no two children develop in the exact same way or even at the same rate, there are key milestones that indicate growth and development. Milestones include crawling, walking, and speaking.
EI services are funded by the Family Infant Toddler (FIT) Program of New Mexico. All qualifying children in the state receive free EI services regardless of income, health insurance, or citizenship status. The Alberta House has a trained professional staff of therapists, service coordinators, and diagnosticians who visit families in their homes to provide quality care and assistance.
